Graduate Student Affairs (GSA) is a part of the Office of the Deputy Provost for Graduate Education and supports graduate students at every stage of their academic careers. GSA functions as a one-stop shop for graduate students to access resources that support timely degree completion and to enhance professional preparation that helps them translate their degrees into a variety of careers.
GSA works with academic departments and divisions as well as campus-wide offices like Chicago Center for Teaching, Alumni Relations, the Library and Dissertation Office, and Campus and Student Life to develop programs and events tailored to UChicago graduate students. GSA provides graduate career services including one-on-one advising, experiential career exploration, and job search preparation. GSA also offers fellowship advising and editing to doctoral and master’s students in all divisions and schools and sponsors funding opportunities like the Graduate Innovation Grant.
For more information about GSA programs and services, graduate students are encouraged to contact GSA staff.
