PATHS Events and Resources

PATHS Events

PATHS sponsors a variety of workshops, short courses, and employer information sessions that help humanists launch careers in academia, industry, nonprofits, and government.  Past events have included an info session on careers in K-12 teaching, a panel on public humanities publishing, and a dissertation-to-book workshop led by Alan Thomas (Editorial Director, UChicago Press).  For a full schedule of upcoming PATHS events, please log into GRAD Gargoyle and select “Events.”

All first year graduate students in humanities, divinity, and history are invited to participate in the PATHS First Year Series (FYS), a professional development series designed especially for entering doctoral students.  FYS participants will be placed in interdisciplinary cohorts and given opportunities to learn about campus resources, explore career options, and set professional goals.  RSVP for FYS sessions by logging into GRAD Gargoyle and selecting “Events.”
