This award, given annually, provides a $5,000 grant to help cover scholarly expenses for a student whose dissertation employs mathematics in an engaging, imaginative, or ingenious way to advance sociological knowledge.
Applicants must be members of the Mathematical Sociology Section of the ASA and must agree to remain members through the period covered by the grant.
