The Yale Center for British Art (YCBA) offers short-term fellowships to support research projects that engage substantively with the museum’s collections. Recipients of the award have the opportunity to access the YCBA’s rich holdings of paintings, sculptures, drawings, prints, rare books, and manuscripts, as well as material from the wider Yale network of museums, libraries, and special collections.

 

Eligibility

Academics, artists, doctoral candidates, museum professionals, and writers who are working in any field related to British visual and material culture are eligible to apply. Predoctoral applicants from North America must be ABD to qualify.

Travel and Accommodation

Fellowships provide US $5,000 for a four-week research period, with funding prorated for stays of two to four weeks. This stipend is intended to cover all associated costs, including travel, lodging, and daily expenses.
