Every year, the Stevanovich Center for Financial Mathematics awards Stevanovich Student Fellowships in quantitative finance.

Eligibility

  • Fellowships are open to applicants who are Ph.D. students at the University of Chicago in economics, mathematics, data science and/or statistics and who work on novel techniques in Financial Econometrics, Financial Mathematics, Mathematics, Econometrics, Statistics or Data Science that could lead to applications to finance and economics.
  • Fellowships are also open to non-University of Chicago students whose work is co-supervised by a University of Chicago faculty in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics and/or Data Science.
  • Fellowships are offered to students who have proposed (or equivalent) by mid-April of each year (or shortly after.)

Please note that applications should be submitted by the student’s advisor. They should be sent to Per Mykland and addressed to the “Stevanovich Center for Financial Mathematics Board of Governors.” They should should include a letter from the advisor, a student’s CV, a research statement and any relevant supporting material (e.g. a working paper.)
