UChicago Global Travel Grant to Latin America and the Caribbean

The Latin America Faculty Steering Committee is pleased to announce the PhD Student & Post Doctoral Scholar Research Travel Grant to Latin America and the Caribbean. University of Chicago PhD students and postdoctoral scholars planning field or archival research in Latin America and the Caribbean are invited to apply for short-term summer research funding. Periods of residence may vary from a few weeks to several months. Awardees will be issued up to a $3,000 stipend to assist with travel and other related expenses. The research conducted by the PhD student or postdoctoral scholar must support faculty research and strengthen partnership with institution(s) in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Eligibility

• University of Chicago PhD students and postdoctoral scholars
• PhD students should be in the dissertation stage, or expected to enter this stage no later than the start of the grant period
