The American Nuclear Society is committed to helping students in nuclear science and technology fields build a better future through education. Every year, the ANS Scholarship Program awards over $250,000 to help students realize their dreams. Scholarships are awarded for both undergraduate and graduate study and may be used for education-related expenses, including tuition, fees, books, supplies, room, and board.

Scholarships are open to undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in a course of study relating to a degree in nuclear science, nuclear engineering, or a nuclear related field.

U.S. and non-U.S. residents may apply if they are enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited institution in the United States (or its territories).

Graduate Awards

  • $3,000 – $5,000 scholarships (expected for graduate programs)
  • up to $5,000 financial need-based scholarships
