The Elizabeth Munsterberg Koppitz Fellowship program supports graduate research projects and scholarships in child psychology. The program’s goals are to nurture excellent young scholars for careers in areas of psychology, such as child-clinical, pediatric, school, educational and developmental psychopathology; and support scholarly work contributing to the advancement of knowledge in these areas. It awards $25,000.

Eligibility requirements

  • completed doctoral candidacy at the time of application (documentation required)
  • demonstrated research competence and area commitment
  • IRB approval must be received from host institution before funding can be awarded if human participants are involved.

Deadline: November 15, 2023

Internal nomination process: The University of Chicago is permitted to submit one application for consideration for this fellowship. An internal nomination process will select the University’s nominee. By Friday, October 26, each eligible academic department can submit one nomination for consideration at the institution-wide level. Check with your department to determine your department’s deadline to receive applications.
