Founded in 1984, Science Olympiad is the premier team STEM competition in the nation, providing standards-based challenges to 6,300 teams at 425 tournaments in all 50 states. Science Olympiad has grown to one of the largest student-serving STEM competitions in the country.
Science Olympiad Alumni Research (SOAR) Grants is for Science Olympiad alumni doing breakthrough research at US universities. There are least two $25,000 awards annually. Early career researchers such as PhD students, postdocs, and pre-tenure faculty are invited to apply for one of these grants.
