The mission of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) is to empower women to achieve their full potential in careers as engineers and leaders; expand the image of the engineering and technology professions as a positive force in improving the quality of life, and demonstrate the value of diversity and inclusion.
SWE Scholarships support those who identify as a woman and pursue an ABET-accredited bachelor or graduate student program in preparation for careers in engineering, engineering technology, and fields related to engineering globally. In 2023, SWE disbursed over 330 new and renewed scholarships valued at more than $1,500,000!
SWE now offers scholarships in India! These SWE scholarships support students that identify as women and are enrolled in either a SWE India Affiliate school or Washington Accord-accredited program, and are pursuing undergraduate or graduate degrees in engineering, engineering technology, or fields related to engineering.
For all SWE scholarships, applicants complete one application and are considered for all scholarships for which they are eligible.
