The Link Foundation supports programs to foster the theoretical basis, practical knowledge, and application of energy, simulation, and ocean engineering and instrumentation research, and to disseminate the results of that research through lectures, seminars and publications. The Link Foundation Modeling, Simulation, and Training Program was put in place with the following objectives:

  1. To foster advanced level research in modeling, simulation, and training;
  2. To enable Ph.D. students the freedom to work on their research full time; and
  3. To disseminate the results of that research through conferences, journals, and other publications.

The Link Foundation proudly offers 1 year fellowships of $35,000 for PhD students in areas that Modeling, Simulation, and Training.

Eligibility

  • No limitations are placed on citizenship.
  • Fellowships are only available to students enrolled at U.S. or Canadian Universities.
  • Preference is given to candidates who have a well-defined thesis direction, but who still have enough remaining time to work toward their Ph.D. such that the receipt of a Link Foundation Fellowship could make a difference, and re doing research applicable to simulating real-time complex, interactive environments, or training and preparing individuals to perform in such environments.
