DAAD offers funding to graduate students to participate in language and cultural studies courses as well as technical language courses based on listed course offerings at leading institutes in Germany. The award covers the costs of the course, provided accommodation, a one-time allowance of 450 EUR, payment of a country-specific travel allowance, and payments towards health, accident and personal liability insurance cover.
Eligibility
- Scholarships are awarded to master’s students currently enrolled full-time in a graduate program in all fields of study.
- Foreign nationals may be eligible if they have been full-time graduate students at a US or Canadian university for at least one academic year at the time of application. Applicants must have proof of a minimum A2 level proficiency in German; they should be able to follow lectures in the German language and participate in group work.
