The Garden Club of America is a nonprofit national organization composed of 199 member garden clubs with almost 18,000 club members who devote energy and expertise to projects in their communities and across the United States. The Garden Club of America Hope Goddard Iselin Fellowship in Public Horticulture aims to further the study of public horticulture through experiential learning. It funds one or more students annually at $5000 for practical research and training at a recognized public garden, botanic garden, arboretum, or other institution directly engaged with connecting people, plants and gardening within the United States.
Garden Club of America Scholarship in Garden History and Design at the Archives of American Gardens
The Garden Club of America Scholarship in Garden History and Design at the Archives of American Gardens annually funds one or more students at up to $6000 each for a ten-week internship available year-round at the Archive of American Gardens (AAG) or the equivalent at another institution. It aims to encourage the study of garden history and design and, if possible, aid in cataloging The Garden Club of America Collection in the Archives of American Gardens (AAG) at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC. For graduate candidates in museum studies, public history, or information studies with courses in collections management for archives or museums.
