The Progressive Talent Pipeline identifies exceptional people who have deep commitments to economic, social, racial, and environmental justice who would like to make change by serving as government staffers. While it does not hire or have hiring authority for government or legislative roles, many of their endorsed candidates go on to secure jobs working for Congress or in federal or local governments.
If endorsed after a section process, they offer a series of trainings and support in the job search process — which includes regularly sharing job openings, relevant events, and resources and facilitating professional networking connections.
Eligibility
- PTP generally prioritizes candidates that are ready, or almost ready, for full time employment (even if the next step for some candidates begins with an internship or fellowship).
- The Progressive Talent Pipeline does not hire, have hiring authority for, or set the criteria for any Hill or government agency roles. In many roles, you must be a U.S. citizen or national (residents of American Samoa and Swains Island) to work for the Federal Government, but there are some exceptions.
