The Bourse Jeanne Marandon funds research trips to France or Quebec for Masters, PhD and postdoctoral researchers. A high level of French is required. Applications from all disciplines will be considered, but priority will be given to candidates in literature, arts, music, history, social sciences, and communication. The scholarship amount is determined based on the level of work pursued and the duration of the intended stay.

Eligibility

Candidates for a Jeanne Marandon Scholarship must:

  • be American citizens or resident aliens
  • be affiliated with an American university
  • become members of the SPFFA at the time of application, and
  • possess a sufficient oral and written proficiency in the French language to enable them to pursue studies or research in France or Quebec.
