The Belgian American Educational Foundation (BAEF) encourages applications for fellowships for advanced study during one academic year, at a Belgian University or institution of higher learning. Knowledge of Dutch, or French, or German is optional. Applicants should make their own arrangements to register or affiliate with a Belgian university of research institution. Fellows should be in residence in Belgium during the tenure of their fellowship.

- Non-renewable grant for 1 academic year (9 months)
- Stipend $30,000
- Health insurance
Eligibility
- Be citizen or permanent resident of the United States
- While holding the BAEF Fellowship register in a graduate program ( Master’s or PhD.) at a Belgian University or higher institution
- Submit official transcripts as evidence of outstanding Bachelor’s and Master’s degree record
