3CT (Chicago Center for Contemporary Theory) Graduate Student Fund

The Chicago Center for Contemporary Theory—known as 3CT—is a space for the critical discussion and reimagination of social, political, and cultural processes in the world today.

Current University of Chicago graduate students are invited to apply for grants of up to $1,000 to support work that reflects 3CT’s commitment to theorizing the present. Funds may be used for activities such as:

• Conference travel and fees
• Research-related costs, such as travel; transcription, translation, or duplication fees; purchase of books or software
• Reading groups, study groups, teach-ins, or similar collaborative initiatives involving other students at the University of Chicago

Priority will be given to projects that add to the intellectual life of 3CT, that might have difficulty accessing funding elsewhere, and/or for which 3CT’s grant would make a significant contribution to the budget.
