The annual Science and Engineering Industry Expo is an intimate recruitment and career exploration event that connects employers in industry and government to UChicago PhD students and postdocs in STEM disciplines. Employers are invited to promote their organizations and screen candidates via a variety of one-on-one and group interactions.
The Science and Engineering Industry Expo specifically features UChicago PhD students and postdocs spanning fields such as Astronomy & Astrophysics, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Data Science, Geophysical Sciences, Immunology, Materials Science, Mathematics, Molecular Engineering, Physics, Statistics, and Quantum Engineering.
The 2026 Science and Engineering Industry Expo is scheduled to take place in a two-day format: virtually on September 1, 2026, and in person on September 2, 2026. The agenda will include short company presentations, speed chats, networking opportunities, and a poster session.
If you are interested in participating, please register here by August 18, 2026. It is free to attend, though there are sponsorship options that come with various perks (including the ability to attend both days of the event at Silver Sponsorship level).
